Café Mouffe: Nick Cave

I heard a snippet of Nick Cave’s Dig, Lazarus, Dig last week when he was interviewed on NPR;sFresh Air. I’ve heard of him, of course, but haven’t heard that much of his music. One notable exception is Johnny Cash’s haunting cover of Cave’s The Mercy Seat. In the Fresh Air interview Cave talks about how he was influenced by Johnny Cash;s music as a child growing up in a small town in Australia.

Maybe some of the Nick Cave fans out there can point me to more of his music for an encore.

Café Mouffe opens evry Friday ’round 3 p.m.  Please drop by for a listen and a chat. Sometimes the embedded videos don’t work here due to bandwidth constraints, but you’ll always find links to video sources in the notes. Try them. If you’re curious about the Mouffe, here’s the original idea behind it’s creation.
