Brave Beacon in a Sea of Red

An Obama campaign banner and American flag fly outside Tom's studio in Loudon, Tennesee.

Tom Roberts sent this photo of his artist studio in Loudon, Tennessee. He volunteered the studio for Obama campaign headquarters for Loudon County. Tom writes:

The building, across from the county courthouse, faces motorists  heading north on highway 11, and traveling through the historic district of Loudon.   The town lies on the banks of the Tennessee River and is comprised of about 3,000 mostly Republican residents.

Thanks for posting that photo, Mark. I am grateful to be part of a grass roots movement that I believe in. And I’m hardly alone, even in East Tennessee which is 70% Republican among registered voters. Today, I learned that many of Loudon’s neighboring county democratic headquarters have depleted their inventory of Obama/Biden yard signs, bumper stickers, buttons, etc. (I don’t think they’re all going on EBay).

That’s great, Tom. I see a lot of voter engagement in this election, and that’s a hopeful sign, poo.
