Gabrielle Giffords reads First Amendment

On January 6, 2011, the second day of the 112th Congress, and two days before she was shot at a public event for constituents in Tucson, Congresswoman Giffords read the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution aloud on the House floor.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
